Dr Tamsin Bowers-Brown is Head of Pedagogic Practice at the University of Derby and an Associate Professor in Learning and Teaching. Tamsin has worked in higher education for 16 years as a researcher, lecturer, policy writer and leader. Active student engagement is at the heart of Tamsin’s teaching philosophy in which she aims to co-create a space for open debate and critical analysis through opportunities for students to understand the application of what they are learning. Tamsin has been awarded recognition for Inspirational Teaching. Tamsin has an institutional role which involves leading learning and teaching related policy, pedagogic initiatives and staff development at the University of Derby.
